Nice to meet you!

Kayla Hagen (Duffney) and Kelsey Aanerud (Duffney) started Duffney Sisters with the intent to inspire people to get creative and support local art. Beginning with an Etsy shop, Kayla realized that she loved crafting and sharing her passion with people around the world. Her sister, Kelsey Aanerud, shared the same passion and wanted to plan community events to grow creative networking and, well, have fun!

Duffney Sisters isn’t so literal – it’s about the bond of bringing the creative community together. Stay tuned for events to come and classes that will be held throughout the year covering different topics of creative mediums.

Kayla Hagen (Duffney)

My profession is art and my art is my passion. As a visualizer, I try to think out of the box and imagine my plan before I pick up the tools. I am very passionate about the use of expression and I want to direct that through my designs and films. I believe critique is a very important process to any project and I love receiving it as well as giving it.

In 2014 I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production and a Minor in Mass Communications. What I strive to do is create. I started Kayla Duffney Creative to help companies small and large accomplish their creative needs.

Kelsey Aanerud (Duffney)

I’m the owner of The Powder Room Salon. I’ve been a stylist since 2013 and I specialize in balayage colors and hair cutting. I can’t wait to share my space with you! I offer a wide variety of services to fit your needs. I’m certified for all hair extension types, and I’m a makeup artist that does a lot of weddings and any SFX makeup tossed my way! Come check out my place, I’d love to give you a new style!
